Reject shop takes on a new look

AFTER a month long closure, customers flocked back to Ararat’s Reject Shop on Wednesday to find a new look shop with extra stock. The shop closed in early May while contractors gutted the building and redesigned the store layout.

A company spokesperson told the Advocate the renovations have delivered a vastly improved layout for customers.

“Our Ararat store is being renovated with an updated layout designed to enhance the shopping experience and enable us to stock even more products.

“In terms of the assortment, customers will continue to find a wide range of everyday essentials, general merchandise and seasonal items at great value. We are also gradually introducing even more lower-priced products across categories, while continuing to offer the products customers know and love,” the spokesperson said.

Doors to the Barkly Street shop opened at 9am on Wednesday with a steady line of customers keen to see the changes.

The shop continues to trade as Reject Shop however that will change in the future with the company recently being purchased by Canadian retail giant Dollarama.

Over coming years, the company says it will gradually rebrand all stores.
